Maracatu

A partir de uma provocação artística proposta pelo coletivo Sol Para Mulheres​ sobre o período do carnaval de 2023, resolvi brincar um pouco com a fotografia e fui olhar o Maracatu cearense na avenida com uma pinhole digital. A mim permiti a liberdade de cores, movimentos e texturas que o Maracatu carrega junto com as batidas fortes e graves dos seus tambores, bumbos e percussões. Meu coração vibrava junto com meu corpo e minha câmera sem lente; fotografando quase sem luz, assumindo os borrões, os ruídos e, sobretudo, a entrega - me misturando ao ritmo inebriante do maracatu cearense.

Based on an artistic provocation proposed by Sol Para Mulheres about the 2023 carnival period, I decided to play a little with photography and went to look at Maracatu on the avenue with a digital pinhole. I allowed myself the freedom of colors, movements and textures that Maracatu carries along with the strong and low beats of its drums, bass drums and percussion. My heart vibrated along with my body and my lensless camera; photographing almost without light, taking on the blurs, the noises and, above all, the delivery - mixing myself with the intoxicating rhythm of maracatu from Ceará.
